Description

13 Monk Street is a three-storey building, likely dating from the 17th or 18th century, although it may incorporate earlier timber framing. The exterior is rendered and painted, concealing the original timber structure, and topped by a low-pitched Welsh slate roof. The building has a single bay width, with each floor slightly overhanging the one below. The ground floor features a two-light casement window and a plain panel door on the right side. Above this is another two-light casement, and above that, a six-pane sliding sash window that resembles a weaver's window. The low-pitch roof suggests a possible alteration to the top floor. The rear elevation was not visible during the resurvey. The interior was not accessible for inspection.
