Description
14 Monk Street is a two-storey building with a basement, dating from the 19th century. It features roughcast render with a decorative band at the first floor level, a modillion cornice, and a roof made of Welsh slate. The building has a double depth plan and a doorway located to the right.
On the ground floor, there is a round-headed window and a door, which is a six-panel design with a fanlight above. This is complemented by a timber trellis porch, with steps leading up to the door and a railing on the side. The basement also has a round-headed window similar to the one above. The two first-floor windows are plain six-pane sashes arranged in a three-over-six configuration. The eaves project slightly, and the roof is plain with a rendered stack positioned to the left. The rear elevation has not been observed. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
