Description
Nos. 19 and 21 Monk Street are two separate houses that appear to be one double-fronted house with a rear wing. The building features roughcast and painted elevations, a Welsh slate roof, and red brick chimneys. It stands two storeys tall and has three windows facing the street. The central entrance is a panelled door with a pedimented hood supported by brackets. On either side of the door are tripartite sash windows with 6 over 6 panes, accompanied by 2 over 2 flanking windows. The upper floor also has 6 over 6 pane sash windows. The roof is moderately pitched and includes gable stacks.
On the left side, there is a panelled door for No. 21, which also has an overlight and a similar pedimented hood on brackets. Above this door, there is a small 4 over 4 pane sash window. The rear wing contains two windows with 6 over 6 sashes and another brick chimney stack, but the rear elevation is not visible.
