Description
This is a neo-classical monument, built to commemorate Evan Jones ('Ieuan Gwynedd'). It takes the form of a masonry obelisk, set upon a moulded plinth. The obelisk has a tall, square base that tapers upwards and features recessed panels and a frieze decorated with lotus and palmette motifs. A pronounced moulded cornice separates the base from the obelisk itself. An inscription dedicated to the Reverend Evan Jones is displayed on the front of the monument.
