Description
Jones Monument, located in the churchyard of the Church of St Tysilio, is built of sandstone and designed in a Gothic style. It features an octagonal pillar with gables adorned with crockets low on each face. Rising from this pillar is a square central column topped with a tall, panelled spire that ends in a leaf feature. The monument is enclosed within a square kerb, although the original railings have been removed. The lower panels bear an inscription dedicated to William Jones of Scotch Hall, who died in 1838, along with his wife Margaret, who died in 1872, and their teenage daughters.
