Description
Horseshoe Falls is a 460-foot long masonry weir that slopes down to a 4-foot vertical face, topped with cast-iron capping at the crest. Water from the canal is drawn off through a high-level channel to the north. A sluice gate that was located midway along the weir has been removed. The channel curves to the left beneath a modern footbridge and is then culverted under a modern pumphouse into the canal.
