Description
Kings Bridge is a 5-arch road bridge, built of rubble stone with semicircular arches faced with blue brick, dating to an unknown period. The arches carry a narrow road. The bridge has tapered rubble abutments at each end. The northern arch spans a canal, and the road curves to pass under a railway viaduct at the southern end. Parapets sweep around on the south side, curving upwards towards the A5, terminating just beyond the arch over the brook flowing down from Vivod. At the northern end, the parapet on the west side includes a commemorative plaque and curves around to end at the base of the hill, while the east side parapet continues further up the hill.
