Description

This is a two-storey lodge built of snecked dark grey rubble with sandstone dressings, a slate roof, and blue brick chimney stacks. The lodge dates to the period when Llantysilio Hall was being developed. It has an L-shaped layout; the south-facing front has a gabled wing to the right. The front features three-light windows above a canted bay, which is sheltered by a lean-to hood supported on lightly carved timber brackets. A lean-to porch is set into the angle between the wing and the cross range to the left. The entrance has a chamfered segmental arch and a four-panelled door. The gable of the west-facing cross range has two and three-light windows. There is a lean-to addition to the north side and another hooded bay to the east side, facing the road. Stone quoining details the windows, but the window frames and glazing are relatively modern replacements.
