Description
High Lodge is a lodge to Leck Hall, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from squared sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof, forming an L-plan structure with two storeys. The front wall has a three-light mullioned window on the ground floor, which has a hollow-chamfered surround with rounded corners. The first floor is blank. To the left, there is a one-bay gabled projection that includes a similar window on the ground floor, while the first floor window in this projection has had its mullion removed but retains a similar surround. The purlins project to support the roof at the gable. To the right of the gabled projection are three separate grouped chimney shafts. The right-hand gable wall features a first floor window surround that matches the other first floor window. On the ground floor, there is a door with plain stone jambs, a segmental arch, and a hood. The door itself has vertical battens and studs.
