Description

This is a 19th-century inscribed stone made of sandstone, located opposite High Lodge on the north-west side of the entrance to the drive leading to Leck Hall. The stone has a rectangular shape with a rounded top and features an inscription that reads: 'Shuttleworth. Gawthorpe.' It is believed to be a boundary stone that was removed from the Gawthorpe Hall estate near Padiham.
