Description

The monument to John Owen and William Llwyd at Capel y Berthen is a polished granite monolith set on a stepped concrete plinth. The rectangular base of the monument tapers slightly and features chamfered angles. Above the base, the monolith takes on a triangular shape and is adorned with scallop shells at the base and a moulded cap at the top. The front faces of the monument display inscriptions dedicated to John Owen and William Llwyd, while the base includes inscriptions honoring members of Owen's family.
