Description

Nos. 6 and 8 Garden Suburbs form a pair of two-window cottages, built at a single storey with an attic. They demonstrate group value. The cottages have pebbledashed front elevations and a half-hipped tiled roof with overhanging, swept eaves. Red brick chimney stacks are present centrally and to the rear pitches. The windows are leaded casements with brick sills and a band above the ground-floor windows. The front design features twinned gables which are jettied forward over three-light first-floor windows, with four-light windows below. Splayed bays with broad cornices are located at either end. Entrances are situated on the side elevations, with a bracketed hood over the entrance to No. 6 and a porch to No. 8. The attic windows are four-light and the windows below are three-light.
