Description
Nos 6 and 8 Garden Suburbs are a pair of single-storey and attic cottages, designed as a reflected pair, dating from the early 20th century. Each cottage features a pebbledashed front and a half-hipped tiled roof with overhanging swept eaves. They have red brick chimney stacks located at the center and on the rear pitches. The windows are leaded casements with brick sills, and there is a decorative band above the ground floor windows. The design emphasizes the twinned gables, which project forward over three-light windows on the first floor, while the ground floor has four-light windows. At each end of the cottages, there are splayed bays topped with broad cornices. The entrances are located on the one-window side elevations, with No 6 featuring a bracketed hood and No 8 having a porch. The attic windows are four-light, while the ground floor windows are three-light.
