Description

Stour Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the early 19th century. They feature colourwashed rendered walls and tiled roofs with stone-slate margins and end stacks for each cottage. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and have a four-window range. The upper floor has casement windows with patterned glazing bars. On the ground floor, Stour Cottage has two canted bay windows with sash windows flanking a central doorway. This doorway is topped with an open pedimental hood supported by carved consoles adorned with acanthus decoration. The door itself is panelled. No. 6 has a 16-pane sash window on the left and a panelled door with a transom light above it.
