Description

Bryants Cottage Bytheway Ashley Cottage is a range of three cottages dating back to the 18th century. The cottages are constructed of flint, brick, and rubble with ashlar dressings, and have a tiled roof with a brick stack at the right end and partway along the ridge on the left. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, and have an irregular façade with four windows. The windows are a mix of sash and casement styles, featuring glazing bars. Plank doors are present, along with 20th-century porches placed irregularly. A symmetrical section on the end wall features 2-light casements with glazing bars, set in stone surrounds with stone lintels and keystones. A central attic window contains two lights with leaded-lights, and a central part-glazed door is also present.
