Description
This is a terrace of six houses, numbered 29 to 39 (odd numbers only), located within the Garden Suburbs. Built in the early 20th century, it is one of the longer terraces in the development. The houses are pebbledashed, with a hipped tiled roof and swept eaves, and feature three brick ridge stacks. They are arranged over two storeys and display a symmetrical design. The central cottages, numbers 31 and 33, and 35 and 37, are distinguished by pairs of half-height gabled frontages. The first floors feature windows with three lights, arranged in a cambered-arched leaded casement design, with brick sills. The ground floor windows are square-headed, with a similar leaded design, although the glazing has been renewed. The entrances are marked by paired gabled porches, with a single pitch to the porch of number 31. The porches at the ends of the terrace, numbers 29 and 39, have two-light windows on the first floor and four-light windows on the ground floor, most of which have been renewed. The porch to number 29 retains the original swept eaves and tile kneelers. The front of the terrace retains its original door and some original window glazing.
