Description
23 Garden Suburbs is part of a terrace of four houses, numbered 21 to 27, built in the early 20th century. The houses are pebbledashed with a hipped tiled roof and swept eaves, featuring two brick ridge stacks. They are two storeys high and have a symmetrical design. The end houses, Nos 21 and 27, have half-height gables and originally featured a single range of four cambered-arched leaded casement lights with brick sills on the upper floor, while the ground floor windows are similar but have square heads. The doorway to No 21 has a bracketed hood, and No 27 includes a porch. The central houses, Nos 23 and 25, have paired hipped gables and originally had similar square-headed four-light windows on the first floor, with canted bays beneath a shared hood that extends over the paired doorways. Most of the glazing and doors have been renewed, but the original ground and first floor glazing is still retained.
