Description

The Music Department at Atlantic College is a 19th-century building featuring local lias limestone rubble walls with dressed openings and a Welsh slate roof that has a wavy red tile ridge and a small stone stack located to the south-west of the center. The structure is one storey high with an attic.

The front elevation showcases three wide semi-circular arches made of stone voussoirs, which are fitted with modern glazing. Just below the eaves, there is a small chamfered window. The north-east gable has a blocked square opening and a small glazed semi-circular opening beneath it. On the north-west elevation, which faces the Castle forecourt, there is a 19th-century or later two-light window with a dripstone, a small ventilator slit, a cross-loop ventilator, and a three-light modern window. Both the front and rear elevations feature five late 20th-century hipped roofed two-light dormers.

The coach houses have been converted into plain rehearsal rooms, but the interior has not been seen.
