Description
The walls of the entrance forecourt flanking the bridge at St Donats Castle are constructed from local lias limestone rubble. Located to the south-east of the castle entrance bridge, there is a thin boundary wall approximately 2 meters high that includes an archway and extends to the north-west angle of the forecourt stables. The forecourt wall on the north-west side of the bridge has been lowered since the early 20th century, likely during the 1920s. Additionally, the archway leading to the kitchen yard was narrowed in the 1970s to create a pointed arch with a parapet above.
