Description

The Staff House, located in the north-east corner of the Entrance Forecourt at St Donats Castle, features limestone rubble walls that show signs of rebuilding. It has a Welsh slate roof with coping, a stone chimney breast on the south-west gable, and a stone stack with a crow-stepped parapet on the north-east gable.

On the courtyard elevation, the ground floor includes, from the left, a 2-light casement window, a pointed doorway with hollow chamfers, and two 3-light casement windows. The first floor has two modern 3-light casements with leaded glazing.

The rear or south-east elevation has a full-height wall projection at the south end, which contains a single light window on the left and a 2-light window on the right. The rear wall of the house features a 3-light modern metal framed window both above and below. The interior has not been inspected during the resurvey.
