Description
The churchyard wall of the Church of St Donat, which includes railings and gates, is constructed from local lias limestone rubble, featuring iron railings and gates. On the north side, there is a formal fence along the road, consisting of a section of rubble wall with coping and a part dwarf stone wall with iron railings. This side also has a pair of stone gatepiers and iron gates topped with an overthrow and lantern. This portion of the wall dates from the 19th century, while the sections on the west and south sides are made of roughly coursed stone and stand about 2 meters high, indicating an earlier construction. A small house, which is listed separately, is incorporated into the wall on the south side. The east side is defined by a section of the wall that curves around the base of the castle mound, featuring a cock-and-hen coping.
