Agricultural Range to rear of Maes-y-garn Farmhouse

The agricultural range at the rear of Maes-y-garn Farmhouse is a large farm building complex that includes a long barn with wings extending forward at each end. It is constructed of stone and has a corrugated roof.

In the center, the long barn features large doorways at both ends, although the central area is obscured by a modern lean-to. The roof is supported by pegged trusses, tie beams, and raking trusses. To the right, there is a lofted cowhouse block that is built with similar materials and is positioned at right angles to the barn. The gable end of this block has a loading door at the upper level, while the ground floor includes a doorway on the right and a single-storey attached gabled block. The south elevation of the barn has three doorways.

At the left end of the main block, there is a two-storey section that contains a granary on the upper level and a stable-cartshed below. The upper level features a round-headed loading door in the center, with a doorway on the right and a cart doorway on the left on the ground floor. Adjacent to this is a lower cartshed block that has three entrances and is supported by kingpost roof trusses.
