Description
The building is a large barn at Buckland Farm, constructed from stone rubble and topped with a Welsh slate roof. It features two tiers of ventilation slits, which are now mostly blocked, and has opposing double plank doors. Attached to the middle of the east side is a lower two-storey granary that has two loft openings under the eaves. There was formerly a range of three wide elliptical arched cart sheds beneath, with boarded doors on the left side. The other cart sheds have been remodeled, with the arches filled in and stable doors and openings added. The left gable end has steps leading to the granary at first floor level. On the further side of the barn, adjoining the feed mill, is a low wall for a shelter shed that includes a wide doorway and small low rectangular tooled stone openings.
Inside, the barn features pegged collar and tie trusses along with three rows of trenched purlins. The threshing floor is made of stone flags and has stone kerbs.
