Description
The cowhouse at Maes-y-garnedd is a long agricultural building constructed from drystone boulders, featuring a plinth course at the northwest gable entrance. It has a roof made of small pegged slates, which is now heavily grouted, and stone gable copings. There is a doorway in the northwest gable and a window positioned towards the right at the southeast end of the southwest gable, along with a ventilation slit to the right.
Inside, the barn has an exposed roof with four bays and paired purlins. The truss nearest to the entrance includes ogee queen posts above the tie beam, although the right-hand blade is currently missing. The other two trusses are pegged and collared, also featuring tie beams.
