Description

The cowhouse at Maes-gwyn is a Grade II listed building constructed from rubble stonework and topped with a slate roof. It features seven bays and has been extended at the eastern end by an additional building that has a higher roof. There is also a lower, three-bay open-fronted animal shelter with a stone-walled enclosure in front, which creates a farmyard to the east. A narrower two-bay wing extends eastward towards the road. Both sides of the cowhouse are mostly hidden by modern farm buildings. The road-facing elevation includes one vented window and a pitching door located in the gable of the main range.
