Description
The Foelas Arms Hotel is a building constructed from local rubble stone with a slate roof. The front ground floor is covered with slate and features a hipped pent roof. The main section of the building is a single-pile block with three bays and three storeys, designed symmetrically facing the Holyhead Road. It has a central entrance located in a shallow porch, which is accessed by a flight of six steps. On the left side, there is a canted late 19th-century bay window, while the right bay contains a 12-pane sash window. The first floor features 16-pane sash windows, and the second floor has windows with a configuration of four over eight panes. There are stacks on the rear wall of the front range. At the rear, along Nebo Road, the building extends with an additional three bays, creating a symmetrical elevation at right angles. This section includes a gabled entrance porch and 12-pane sash windows with deep stone lintels, which are outlined by a flush label course, along with a gable end stack.
Inside, the interior reflects a refurbishment from the mid 19th century and later, featuring a chair rail, dado, and simple cornice in the front corner room.
