The more southerly of the two blocks of estate cottages is built of dark stone rubble with large unshaped stone quoins and slate roofs. One storey and attic reflected pair, each cottage consisting of 2 bays, the outer gabled and containing the entrance, a framed and battened door set within an open fronted slate porch with a pent roof. Timber casement windows, those to the inner ground floor bay being slightly canted under a projecting stone capping and sill, 3-light to the ground floor living room, two to the first floor bedrooms. Central stack with independent flues and moulded cap, and a date panel reading 1845 at the base.
