Description

The Wynne-Finch Memorial is a commemorative structure built from squared local stone, featuring limestone quoins and dressings. It has a square stone base with an ashlar chamfered plinth, which is set on a low step topped with slate. The memorial is capped with a cyma moulded top cornice of ashlar, gabled on each side, and supports a large wrought iron lantern on scrolled brackets. On the front face, there is a recessed stone panel with a rounded top made of radial voussoirs, which displays an inscription honoring the memory of Lieutenant Colonel Wynne Finch, who lived from 1841 to 1903, and was erected by his tenants and neighbors.
