Description
The Caernarfon War Memorial is a cenotaph-style structure made of ashlar stone, set on a square base. The base features polygonal corner turrets and an embattled top adorned with relief-carved shields. Each side of the memorial displays a bronze plaque that lists names in raised letters from the 1914-18 and 1939-45 wars. Rising from the base is a tall, tapering pillar with rebated angles and attached pinnacles. Each face of the pillar has a cross beneath a shallow canopy at the top. The memorial is crowned with a stepped design that is topped by a dragon.
