Description
The HSBC Bank is a building constructed from Anglesey stone ashlar, featuring drafted stonework on the lower storey and a renewed slate roof with a moulded stone eaves cornice. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range, highlighted by a central portico supported by paired Tuscan columns. Above the portico is an entablature that holds a higher central panel, which is carved with the Prince of Wales feathers in relief, and there is a replaced door below. The windows on the lower storey have keyed rusticated segmental heads with blank tympana and replaced windows. The upper storeys are fitted with 12-pane hornless sash windows that have sill bands. The right gable end of the building is roughcast. Attached to the portico is a stone balustrade with end panelled piers topped with pyramidal caps, which encloses a forecourt. The interior has been modernised.
