Description
Roberts & Owen Jewellers is a 2-bay, 3-storey shop and house featuring a front made of scribed roughcast with stressed quoins, a slate roof, and a brick stack on the left side. The shop front is highlighted by narrow pilasters with vertical ribs and a wooden fascia with end brackets. A central recessed doorway includes a half-lit panelled door with tracery in the glazing and a mosaic threshold that displays the firm's name. On the left side, a former doorway has been replaced with plate glass and a stallboard. The original plate glass shop windows are supported by turned mahogany posts, set over polished granite stallboards, and feature convex glass that curves towards the doorway. The upper storeys are adorned with 12-pane hornless sash windows, with nine on the second floor.
