Description
41 Bridge Street is a shop and house with a distinctive tall and narrow shape. It features roughcast walls and a pedimented gable facing the street, along with a slate roof and a brick stack on the left side. The lower storey showcases a late 19th-century shop front framed by pilasters with decorative fretwork heads, and a cornice that includes a bead-and-reel frieze. The recessed front displays decorative tiles on the stallboard and similar tiles on the right side wall, leading to a further recessed doorway that has a half-lit panelled door with raised fields. The shop window is a very large two-pane sash.
On the second storey, there are 12-pane hornless sash windows, while the third storey features a similar 12-pane sash window on the left and a blind window on the right. The upper storey has a single central 12-pane hornless sash window.
At the rear, there is a gabled rubble-stone projection that includes a basement storey.
