Description

The gates, gate piers, and railings at the forecourt of Ebenezer Methodist Church are a notable feature. They consist of central double gates flanked by single gates. The square freestone piers have projecting pyramidal caps. The iron gates are designed with scrollwork on the dog bars, arcading beneath the top rail, and trident finials. The outer railings, which are in a similar style, are mounted on dwarf walls. The left side ends with a square pier that matches the gate piers, while the right side is adjacent to a rubble-stone boundary wall.
