Description
The entrance gates and rails to Penuel Baptist Chapel are notable features made of dwarf walls constructed from snecked rubble stone, topped with painted ashlar coping. At each end, there are stone piers that match the walls, each capped with ashlar cross-gabled tops. The left pier has the inscription "AD," while the right pier is inscribed with "1879." The iron railings are designed with arches and finials, and the square cast-iron gate posts are ornately pierced, displaying patterns of quatrefoils and trefoils within panels, also featuring cross-gabled caps. An iron scroll overthrow is adorned with intricate cast-iron scrolls and a tapering glass lamp topped with an iron finial. The double gates are designed to complement the railings.
