Description
The railings, gates, and gatepiers at St John's Church are made of iron and feature conical lance-head finials. They include a low bottom rail with intermediate bars and smaller finials, all set on limestone coping. The double gates share a similar design and are positioned between large panelled cast-iron gate posts that have cornice caps and tall ringed shaft finials supported by scrolls and topped with urns. The gatepiers are marked with the names T Jones and Sons, Priory Foundry, Carmarthen, Eglwys St Ioan, and St John's Church.
