Clock Tower and War Memorial

The Clock Tower and War Memorial is a slender structure made of coursed, roughly dressed stone, featuring tooled quoins and ashlar dressings. It has an embattled design with machiolations and is topped with a weathervane. The tower displays clock faces on each side and has slit windows at two levels on two sides. It is stepped and offset over a plinth that includes a round-arched doorway on the west side. On the east side, there is a composite bronze plaque, with the central four-panelled section dedicated to commemorating those who died in the First World War, and additional plaques on either side that were added later to honor the dead of the Second World War.
