Description
The War Memorial is a two-and-a-half storeyed tower built from coursed, squared stone, featuring a square plan with walls that taper slightly towards the top. It has a sloped pyramidal stone roof with a staged top and bronze swags applied to each face. At the very top of the tower is a flaming urn finial made of reconstituted stone. Each of the four faces has plain, square-headed openings on three levels. On the ground floor, the opening on the left (southwest) contains a standing metal memorial tablet dedicated to those lost in the Second World War, while the opening on the right (northeast) features a similar tablet commemorating those lost in the Great War.
