Description
Caergynog is a two-storey stone farmhouse dating from the 19th century. It features a three-window front that is slightly offset to the right. The building has a slate roof with square stone chimneys at both ends and heavy stone foundations, particularly at the upper end. The façade includes three casement windows positioned at the eaves, and there is an almost central doorway flanked by a casement window on each side. At the lower end of the house, there is a lean-to addition with a chimney at the front corner, a small doorway, and a modern window at the end. A small 19th-century addition at the rear has a small window on each side.
Inside, the farmhouse has heavy chamfered transverse beams and chamfered joists with lambs-tongue stops. There is a large fireplace, with a chamfered bressumer that also features lambs-tongue stops, and a small cupboard to the left of the fireplace. A stone spiral stair is located to the right of the fireplace, and the rear doorway is directly opposite the front doorway.
