Description

Llwynyfedwen farmhouse is a two-storey building with an attached byre that is slightly lower. It is constructed of random rubble sandstone and has slate roofs. The farmhouse shows traces of limewash and features a stone stack on the left and a later brick stack on the right. The front of the house has three windows, with the central openings offset to the right of center. The upper storey has 9-pane hornless sash windows beneath segmental heads, while the lower storey has later horned sashes in similar openings. A central boarded door is set within a gabled timber-framed canopy supported by wooden posts. The left gable end includes an inserted casement window on the first floor. At the rear, there is an added continuous outshut, which features a wide doorway under a segmental head and a half-lit boarded door in the side wall. The rear wall has three casement windows with brick jambs.

The byre on the right has three doorways under segmental stone heads, each with boarded doors, which define feed and dung passages. Above, in the loft, there is a central segmental-headed opening with a stone sill, along with a smaller, lower opening with a stone lintel to the left. The byre includes a central feed passage and a tie beam roof.
