Description

The stable at Llwynyfedwen is a two-storey structure built of limewashed rubble stone and topped with a stone-tile roof. The lower storey features doorways on the right side under a timber lintel and to the left of centre under a segmental brick head, which has replaced an earlier lintel. A former doorway to the right of centre has been converted into a window with a segmental head, and there is a similar window to the left. The loft area has three openings beneath the wall plate, with wooden shutters on the left and the other two openings having thin wooden stanchions. On the right gable end, there is an external stone stair leading to a loft doorway, which has a boarded door supported by brackets from a former canopy. Behind the stairway, there is a later 19th-century stable extension. The left gable end features an added lean-to pigsty with a lintelled doorway and a walled pen that has a boarded gate.

The roof is a four-bay design with trusses that include tenoned collars.
