Description
The New Three Mariners Public House is an early 19th-century building, first shown on an 1834 survey map. It features a late Georgian design with three storeys and a three-window roughcast front, complete with a plinth and rusticated quoins. The building has a slate roof and roughcast end chimney stacks. The windows are 6 and 12-pane sash types with lugged architraves. The central entrance is highlighted by an ornate bracketed hood supported by pilasters, leading to a six-panel door.
Adjoining the main structure on the left is a lower two-storey roughcast range that faces the street. This section shares similar architectural details but has replaced sash glazing and includes a low segmental coaching entrance with double doors. The right gable end of the building faces Market Street and maintains similar design features.
