Description
Brown's Hotel is a Georgian building with two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-window roughcast front. It has a tall slate roof with lowered eaves and rendered chimney stacks, along with modern swept roof dormers. The first floor has recessed 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features splayed bays with advanced moulded cornices and sash glazing. There is a central porch supported by Doric columns, with brackets over pilasters behind and a boarded door. A lettered panel between the second and third floors displays a shield containing the dates 1752 and 1938 at the centre. A plaque to the left states, "This Pine End Belongs to G James 1752."
