Description

The building at 2 Market Street is a pair of two-storey buildings dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries. It is constructed with a whitewashed rubble front, with a steeper slate roof and higher eaves visible on the building at number 2. The building features brick and cement-rendered chimney stacks. Various sash windows are present, most with small panes of glass, and there is a four-pane shop window on the left-hand side. A six-panel door, half-glazed to the right, sits beneath a brick segmental arch.
