Description
This is a granite drinking fountain located in Carmarthen Park. It stands approximately 6 feet high and is designed as a freestanding columnar fountain. The base features a grey granite circular plinth and a grey sandstone flared base supported by four brackets beneath a polished grey granite bowl. Rising from the bowl is a hollow cylinder made of red granite, which has a bronze spigot. The cylinder is inscribed in gold letters with "Cyflwynwyd i'r dref gan Timothy Davies Ysw O.C. 1900 Walham Green." At the top, there is a turned red sandstone piece with an ogee moulded base, decorated with stylised trefoils and topped with a mushroom-shaped finial and a metal vane.
