Description
The Reverend Urijah Rees Thomas Memorial Drinking Fountain is a drinking fountain built in 1904. It features red and white granite and red sandstone ashlar, a tiled roof, and a copper-clad cupola. The fountain has an octagonal plan with white granite steps leading up to it. It is supported by eight red granite Roman Doric columns that form a sandstone entablature, with a central sandstone column holding up the roof. There are four granite basins equipped with lion-head taps. The tiled hipped roof is topped with a square cupola that includes clocks and a weather vane. On the south side, there is a panel inscribed to the Reverend Urijah Thomas.
