Description
No 2 Friar's Row is a cottage that is part of a two-storey row of four painted rendered cottages, featuring a slate roof and small end stacks. The cottages are arranged in pairs and face south. No 1 and No 2 have three 2-pane 20th-century uPVC windows on the first floor, with one window in each outer bay below and paired centre doors. Nos 3 and 4 have horned 12-pane sash windows, with three on the first floor, one in each outer bay below, and paired centre doorways, with No 4 featuring a plain door that has a glazed panel. There is a segmental arch in the centre leading to a passage between Nos 2 and 3. The rear of the building has similar but recessed windows on both floors, and a paired window that possibly spans a dividing wall. There is a rear chimney stack on the verge of the roof serving both Nos 2 and 3. The passageway between Nos 2 and 3 features a segmental arch, with no windows above.
