Description
No 3 Friar's Row is a cottage that is part of a two-storey row of four painted rendered cottages, built with a slate roof and small end stacks. The cottages are arranged in pairs and face south. Nos 1 and 2 feature three 2-pane 20th-century uPVC windows on the first floor, with one window in each outer bay below and paired central doors. Nos 3 and 4 have horned 12-pane sash windows, with three on the first floor, one in each outer bay below, and paired doorways in the center, with No 4 having a plain door with a glazed panel. There is a segmental arch in the center that leads to a passage between Nos 2 and 3. The rear of the cottages has similar recessed windows on both floors, and a paired window may span a dividing wall. There is a rear chimney stack located on the verge of the roof for both Nos 2 and 3. The passageway between Nos 2 and 3 features a segmental arch, and there are no windows above it.
