No 4 Friar's Row

No 4 Friar's Row is a cottage that is part of a two-storey row of four cottages, built with painted render and topped with a slate roof featuring small end stacks. The cottages are arranged in pairs and face south. Cottages 1 and 2 have three 2-pane modern uPVC windows on the first floor, with one window in each outer bay below and paired central doors. Cottages 3 and 4 feature horned 12-pane sash windows, with three on the first floor, one in each outer bay below, and paired doorways in the center. No 4 has a plain door with a glazed panel. There is a segmental arch in the center that leads to a passage between cottages 2 and 3. The rear of the building has similar recessed windows on both floors, and a paired window may span a dividing wall. There is a rear chimney stack located on the verge of the roof serving both cottages 2 and 3. The passageway between cottages 2 and 3 has a segmental arch, with no windows above it.
