Description

The Alexandra Fountain, located at Discovery Quay on Riverside Drive in Dundee, is an early 20th-century drinking fountain designed in the Edwardian Baroque style. It features a light grey granite plinth and base, along with a black granite inscription band. The fountain itself is made of polished Peterhead granite and is adorned with four polished Peterhead granite Doric columns. These columns support a rib-domed and corniced canopy, also made of light grey granite, which is decorated with a swagged-etched frieze and topped with a gold-painted crown finial.
