Description

11, 12, 13 Dock Street in Dundee is a later 19th-century, four-storey and attic, five-bay building used for both commercial and domestic purposes. It features a sandstone ashlar exterior and a grey slate Mansard roof. The ground floor has channelled pilaster strips with new cement panels designed to mimic channelled masonry, and a giant angle pilaster on the right side of the upper floors. There are plain friezes on the first and second floors, a cill band on the third floor, an eaves course, and a corniced parapet. The ground floor has plate glass windows created from larger openings, while the upper floors feature single, bipartite, and canted windows, with consoles at the first floor, all fitted with two-pane timber sash and case glazing. The building also includes bi- and tripartite box dormers, ashlar-coped skews, and corniced gable and ridge stacks with uniform, square-section, cream cans.

The front elevation has a door in the centre bay with a window above it, and there are four windows on either side. The first, second, and third floors have a single window flanked by canted windows with bipartites on both sides, and two tripartite dormers flanked by bipartites. The interior has not been seen.
